/r/SketchDaily, my new sketchspiration.

A friend recently turned me onto /r/sketchdaily, a daily sketching challenge on reddit. I'm starting another 30 day inspiration challenge and this seems like the perfect thing to make a good habit of. I'll be mirror-posting my sketches to this blog as well. The theme for Aug 31st was "sketch yourself as a super hero". I went more villainous and sketched my bad habit alter-ego: Professor Mediocre!

Radiohead 15 step animatic

Just re-embedding an old project to my blog. This was a group project I did with a my friends Bart Ovaitt and Juan Hernandez for a Radiohead music video contest back in 2008. Enjoy!

BurlapVenture

This animated music video was for a Radiohead storyboarding competition. The first minute is the 2nd stage full-animated part, the rest is from the 1st stage. Bart Ovaitt, Juan Hernandez, and I worked like dogs to get this thing together so hopefully we will get a Golden Ticket!

Fun with spray paint!

How do I say "wow, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog" without sounding like every fifth entry I put on my blog? Anywho, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog, so what've I been doin'?

STREET ART!

About a year ago I got all inspired after watching "Exit Through the Gift Shop" so I decided to try my hand at making some street art. However, I didn't have the moxy to run out and start tagging public spaces so the "street" of my art ended up being my backyard fence. I figure this is the best place to start experimenting. So here's some "experiments" for y'all to enjoy!

I made the diver and the squid. My roomie made the Eel

5 color tiger fish stencil
Bubba Blowfish
The stencil literally fell apart as I was spraying this one :(

Wilfred!
my wildstyle freestyle tag
these are very bad words kids, do not repeat. (roomies made the characters, I made the expletives)

Side project poster

I had a fun side project this weekend creating an Alice in Wonderland poster. Rather than go crazy with the psychedelic wonderland I made the illustration more like the classic Lewis Carroll illustrations from the original book. It was a lot of fun and made me want to play with more pen & ink stuff.

31 D.R.A.W.: Day4

Yes! I thought I was so clever because this is the name of a restaurant... until I checked with my chef. The restaurant is actually called the Fat Duck (and I really want to eat there someday!).

Anyway, ducks on fire still looks pretty sweet

31 D.R.A.W.: Day3

This originally started out as a gangsta but I decided to fudge my face onto it
